The Resilient Collection
When I make new beads and jewelry they have an energy all their own. When the pieces are finished, I sit back looking at them and let a word come to me that encompasses that energy. The word that came to me for this collection is resilient.
The energy of the new pieces remind me of going with the flow of life and being resilient, something we are all probably learning to do more of these days. I hope that these pieces bring a bit of resilience to those who'll wear them, or whatever other qualities they find in them.
A common element in the Resilient Collection is finely detailed swirls, dots and flowers. Each of these elements is made with a long and thin piece of glass called a stringer. Watch this video to see how a stringer is made and applied to each lampwork glass bead...
